Auburn Council Approves Tax Fund Distribution Resolution

Additionally, the Mayor's Youth Advisory Council is hosting a game night on June 5th at Memorial Park from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, featuring games and food vendors, with an invitation for community support. Councilwoman Proer also reminded attendees about 'Strawberries in the Park' at Echart Public Library on Thursday from 4 PM to 7 PM and noted the placement of 'teacups' around town.
Auburn Council Approves Sale of 213 East 12th Street for $1 with Reversion Clause
The Auburn Common Council approved Resolution 08-2026 on first and final reading, authorizing the mayor to negotiate and sell real estate located at 213 East 12th Street in Auburn, Indiana, for $1. A condition was added that the property will revert to the city if the fair board or association does not utilize it for the intended purpose. It was noted that the city acquired the property in 2011 for $10 and that it is located in a flood plain with limited use. The sale is considered a good use for the property. Tax Phase-In Committee Prepares for CF1 Votes; Finance Committee Meeting Scheduled
The tax phase-in committee reported that they have a list of CF1s and hope to vote on them at the next meeting. Councilman Fincham is absent. Andy Barand and Lori Pontius were thanked for their significant work in accumulating the list and contacting companies regarding the confusing CF1 process. The finance committee meeting is scheduled for July 8th at 9:00 AM in chambers. There were no items for ordinance and resolution.
