Bethel Park Public Library Announces Diverse Summer Programming for All Ages

The Bethel Park Public Library is offering a variety of summer programs for adults, teens, and children. Adult programs include a summer reading program with weekly gift card drawings and a grand prize, a houseplant workshop with staff from Ruby Flora, a sports history program with author George Von Benko, and a science-backed workout class called Bar 3. The library is also hosting a 'Pigeon Palooza' exploring myths about pigeons, an America 250 program on the Revolutionary Era in Western Pennsylvania, a sound bath relaxation session, and a Colonial Crafting event to make a blanket stitch bookmark. For children and teens, there's a summer learning program with a bingo card format to earn 'gems' for prizes, a raffle for teens for each book read, and various story times and classes. The library also highlights resources like Parent TV for caregivers and has a rotating selection of toys in its play area. They are also reminding patrons about their food policy and the availability of outdoor courtyards for eating. The library will be closed on Sundays through Labor Day weekend.
