Grace Pantry Fundraiser Request Referred to City Services
The council received a letter of request from the Grace Pantry for permission to conduct an annual fundraiser, specifically to fill their bucket at the intersection of William and Southgate Parkway. The request was referred to city services.
Council Approves Budget Transfers and Authorizes Fireworks Contract
The finance committee recommended the approval of several transfers and appropriations, including $6,325 to the photo traffic enforcement fund, $100,000 to the water fund for services by contract, funds for code enforcement refuse trash, and $9,000 to the tree fund. Additionally, $15,000 was recommended to be transferred from fire equipment to miscellaneous. The committee also recommended authorizing the administration to enter into a contract with Pyrotecnico Incorporated for the 2026 fireworks display. Council approved these recommendations.
Engineer's ODOT Application and Auditor's Bed Tax Amendment Referred to Finance Committee
The council considered a request from the engineer for authorization to submit a small cities application to ODOT. This item was referred to finance. The council also considered a request from the auditor for an amendment to the bed tax to the miscellaneous line item, which was also referred to the finance committee.
