The resident proposed solutions including installing solar-powered aerators, clearing dead vegetation, and planting native shoreline species like lavender, lemongrass, rosemary, and marigold. They also suggested using a specific organic bacteria (Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis) to kill larvae without harming wildlife, and keeping water moving.
