Board Approves Variances for Eagle Landing Apartment Development

The Board of Zoning Appeals considered a request for three variances for the proposed Eagle Landing apartment community. These variances included lot area per dwelling unit, a reduction from the R3 standard of 3500 sq ft/unit to a proposed 2452 sq ft/unit; parking, a reduction from the standard of two spaces per dwelling unit to a proposed 1.5 spaces per unit; and recreational area, a reduction from the R3 standard of 10% of gross area to a proposed 6%. All three variances were ultimately approved by the board.
