Town Recognizes Firefighters and Police for Heroic Actions

The town council recognized and presented plaques to members of the fire department and police department for their courageous actions during a house fire on April 20th, 2026. Chief Mock Jaden, Chris, and Janelle were specifically lauded for rescuing individuals from the fire. Sergeant J. Morgan and another officer (unnamed, but referred to as having a profile entry similar to Sergeant Morgan's) were also commended for their bravery and service during separate incidents, including a residential structure fire while off-duty. The Mayor was also recognized for his support and presence during the April 20th incident. The event highlighted the dedication and selflessness of the emergency responders.
