New Water Service Truck to be Outfitted by Local Company

East Peoria Council Addresses Water Main Repairs, Treatment Plant Upgrades, and Fleet Purchases

The East Peoria City Council approved several resolutions related to water and wastewater services. These include approving a contract renewal for laser fish software licensing, approving a contract with United Contractors Midwest for the Grange Road Improvement Project, authorizing the purchase of a new dump truck for the streets department, and authorizing payment for emergency water main repairs on Sabrina Drive. Additionally, a resolution was approved for the upfitting of a new water service truck, another for upgrading pumps at the Centennial Water Treatment Plant with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) to improve energy efficiency and reduce wear, and a third for a planning study for new water treatment plant groundwater development due to PFAS concerns.
