Board of Education Meeting Features Recognitions, Policy Updates, and Operational Approvals

The Board of Education meeting commenced with a roll call, ethics awareness statement, and approval of the agenda, which included an addition for a freezer quote for Pasquotank Elementary School. Recognitions were given to school nurses, Mr. Eddie White, and participants in the 'Revolution in the Kitchen' cooking competition. The Community School Field Day winners, JC Sawyer fourth and fifth grade team, were celebrated. Outstanding elementary math teachers across seven schools were honored, with Mr. Andre Powell named the district's elementary math teacher of the year.
