The City Council accepted a bid from Pace Contracting LLC for the North Main Street Sidewalk Improvements Phase Three. The bid amount does not exceed $497,32. The Mayor or their designate is authorized to sign all necessary contracts and permits.
Elizabeth Town and Radcliffe Partner on New Law Enforcement Firearms Range
The City Council approved an interlocal government agreement with the City of Radcliffe for the design and construction of the Gaither Station Range, a marksmanship firearms qualification range for law enforcement training. Elizabeth Town City Council Reviews and Adopts Fiscal Year 2027 Budget
The city council reviewed and discussed the recommended budget for fiscal year 2027, which totals $125.8 million, a decrease of $1.1 million from the previous year. The budget includes a 3% increase for all employees, no change in employee medical insurance contributions, and allocates significant funding for capital projects, including fleet replacement for the police department, fire department equipment, street paving, storm water system maintenance, and park improvements. Revenue sources include general fund, insurance premiums tax, alcohol regulatory fees, transient room tax, and restaurant tax. The budget also addresses debt service for the sports park and the outdoor music venue.
Wastewater Treatment Plant Burm Repair Project Receives Change Order Approval
The City Council approved a change order for the wastewater treatment facility burm repair project. This approval increases the amount for change orders by not to exceed $80,000 due to unforeseen conditions, bringing the total aggregate amount for change orders to $89,728. Phillips Brothers Construction is the contractor for the original project.
