Gadsden Celebrates Industrial Growth, New Athletic Center, and Pedestrian Bridge Funding

The city of Gadsden celebrated the opening of Pinco, a new industrial development, which has created 40 new jobs and involved a $20 million investment. Additionally, significant progress is being made on the Gadsden Athletic Center, a large multi-purpose facility that will feature basketball courts, an indoor pool, therapy areas, meeting rooms, walking tracks, softball fields, a splash pad, and pickleball courts. This facility is expected to enhance quality of life and attract tourism dollars through southeastern tournaments. The city also announced a $690,000 Innovate Alabama Grant to fund a pedestrian bridge connecting a future hotel and conference center to an existing venue, facilitating a more robust downtown conference experience. Preparations are underway for a flagship, four-star hotel with a rooftop bar.
