JCUA Update: New Wastewater Legislation and South Central Flow Routing Project Progress
Anthony Snow, an appointee to the Jackson County Utility Authority (JCUA), provided an update to the Gocha City Council on water and wastewater legislation and ongoing JCUA infrastructure projects. He informed the council about Mississippi Senate Bill 2310 and House Bill 1632, noting that HB 1632, the Community Public Wastewater System Infrastructure Sensibility Act, is applicable to Gocha. Snow also detailed progress on JCUA infrastructure projects, including the South Central Flow Routing project to the Gocha Public Owned Treatment Works, which aims to upgrade and reroute regional sewage systems to optimize treatment capacity and eliminate sanitary sewer overflows. He mentioned preliminary engineering plans are complete for this project, with easements and rightaways established, pending adjudication for one easement with Indian Point.

El Rico, a decorated war veteran and native of Mississippi, emphasized his connection to the area and his company's ability to create authentic storytelling with global reach, citing previous successes in Mobile and Pensacola, Florida. He also offered free acting and crew training classes as a way to give back to the community and create local IP.
Gocha City Council Approves Agenda, Honors Historical Figure, and Discusses Film Production Proposal
