The Utility Services report detailed the activities of the water, stormwater, and wastewater departments for April. The wastewater treatment plant discharged millions of gallons of treated water and maintained high equipment availability. The EPD performed an inspection of the wastewater system with positive comments. The report also congratulated Keith Lyons and his team for passing their EV inspection at the sewer plant.

Grovetown Police and Fire Departments Report on April Activities, Highlighting Community Service and Officer Dedication

This was followed by the approval of ordinances to annex properties at 759 Chamberlain Road (6.36 acres, parcel 062023 Delta) and 0 Chamberlain Road (6.37 acres, parcel 062023 Charlie), and to rezone these parcels, along with 769 Chamberlain Road, from RA to RC1 Residential. The council also approved ordinances for rezoning 759 Chamberlain Road (parcel 062023 Delta) and 0 Chamberlain Road (parcel 062023 Charlie) from RA to RC1 Residential. Discussions included concerns about traffic, density, stormwater runoff, and the conceptual nature of development plans. It was clarified that Chamberlain Road is a county-maintained road and that any new development must adhere to strict stormwater runoff regulations, ensuring post-development conditions do not exceed pre-development levels. The fire code standards for cul-de-sacs were confirmed to be a minimum of 50-foot radius, and developers must comply with this requirement.

Grovetown City Council Approves Contract with Tyler Technologies for Processing Fees
