Harbormaster Department Acquires New Boat for $61,290

The Town Administrator reported signing a contract with Atlantic Boats in Wellfleet to purchase a new 2026 Carolina Skiff 21-footer for the harbormaster department at a cost of $61,290. This vessel replaces an inoperable 1974 Boston Whaler and came in under the appropriated amount of $65,000. Delivery of the new boat is imminent.

Town Considers Specialized Open Meeting Law Training

The Town Clerk proposed offering more targeted Open Meeting Law training sessions, potentially focusing on executive sessions and new board chairs. KP Law has confirmed their ability to provide specialized training beyond the general overview sessions previously offered. Discussions included specific topics such as appropriate executive session discussions, agenda preparation, minute-taking, and the definition of an available room for public meetings. The board agreed to explore scheduling these trainings for August.
