Main Street Announces Planting Day, World Cup Business Initiatives, and Restaurant Week

He also discussed the upcoming World Cup and Main Street's efforts to help local businesses capitalize on it, including a tutorial and planned watch parties. Restaurant Week is scheduled from July 9th to July 19th to coincide with the World Cup quarter-finals and semi-finals. Main Street is also coordinating a mailer for local businesses.
Ordinance Authorizes Acquisition of Real Property on Rton Avenue
Ordinance 26-2129, authorizing the acquisition of a portion of real property at Block 30001, Lots 17, 18, 19, and 332 Rton Avenue, was presented for final reading and adoption. A public hearing was held and closed, after which the ordinance was adopted.
Council to Adopt 2026 Municipal Budget; Finance Team and School Board Recognized
The council is set to officially adopt the 2026 municipal budget, pending state certification. The finance team and school board members were thanked for their work on this 'tough year'. The HRC DEI cookie exchange was also mentioned as a great event with healthy discussion.
