These modifications include reducing red curb on Allison Ave, converting a loading zone on Palm Avenue to metered parking, establishing designated golf cart and motorcycle parking, installing parking 'tee' markers, and converting a dirt median to parking spaces with a replacement tree plan. The staff is expected to return with findings and recommendations within 60 days.
City Council Approves Fiscal Year 2027 CDBG Action Plan and Fiscal Year 2025 Amendment
The City Council considered and approved a resolution to adopt the fiscal year 2027 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) annual action plan and a substantial amendment for the fiscal year 2025 CDBG annual action plan. The city is set to receive $464,440 in CDBG funds for FY2027. Proposed allocations include $381,000 for the Tower Street Mobility Access Improvement Project, $30,000 for CSA San Diego for fair housing and tenant landlord services, $50,000 for administrative activities, and $6,440 for housing-specific administrative costs. The amendment reallocates $150,000 from a previously infeasible Nancy Drive Street Improvements project to the fiscal year 2025 sidewalk improvement project.
