Road Improvements Approved; Solid Waste Disposal Contract Renewed

The board approved a $600,000 expenditure for road improvements, specifically for the remaining 40-50% of a street that needs repair. This decision was made to secure a favorable price before anticipated increases in asphalt and disposal costs. Additionally, the board approved a renewal of the solid waste disposal services contract with Coanta Substantial Solutions, LLC (Reworld). The contract covers household waste for five additional years, with escalating per-ton fees from $91.30 in the sixth year to $103.89 in the tenth year.
