Milton Board of Adjustments Approves Variance for Additional Driveway Access on Byram Street

The City of Milton Board of Adjustments considered a variance request for a property located at 5933 and 5935 Byram Street. The request was for an additional access point (driveway) for a two-family dwelling, which is limited to one access point by city ordinance Article 15.4G2. The variance was sought due to an elevated manhole in the center of the property that would create issues with a safe and functional driveway design. Staff posted notifications and mailed letters to abutting property owners, and no public comment was received. The applicant stated the manhole's height would create an aggravating hump in the driveway. The board granted the variance.
