Planning Board Declares Lead Agency for Hudson Supply Yard Amid Environmental Concerns
The Planning Board declared itself the lead agency for the Hudson Supply Contractor Storage and Equipment Yard project on the corner of Stonecastle and 17K. Concerns were raised by a community member regarding potential environmental impacts, specifically from salt and dyes, on a tributary that feeds into aquifers supplying water to over 6,000 people. The board assured that environmental reviews, including a stormwater pollution prevention plan, would address these concerns. The project will not involve the recycling of concrete as initially proposed.
McCarthy Two-Lot Subdivision Approved After Negative Environmental Declaration
The Planning Board reviewed and approved a negative declaration for a two-lot subdivision proposed by McCarthy on East Kaisertown Road. The subdivision involves creating two lots, one with an existing house and the other for a proposed single-family dwelling. Environmental concerns, particularly regarding wetlands and adjacent areas, were addressed, with a finding that the project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. Following the negative declaration, the board moved to site plan approval with standard conditions.
Forest of Fun LLC Receives 90-Day Extension for Subdivision Approval
The Planning Board granted a 90-day extension for the conditional final acceptance of the subdivision approval for Forest of Fun LLC, extending it through June 8th of the current year. The commercial subdivision approval has a different expiration date.

The Planning Board declined to be the lead agency for the Cantime Deere project. Rich, a board member, recused himself due to business interests. The board then voted to declare itself the lead agency for the project.
