Consent Calendar Adopted, Including Election Consolidation and Lighting District Resolutions
The consent calendar was adopted, which included waving readings of ordinances and resolutions, approval of warrants, minutes from the May 12th, 2026 meeting, and several resolutions. Key resolutions adopted were: approving the city's conflict of interest code, requesting the consolidation of the November 3rd, 2026 municipal election with the gubernatorial general election, approving the annual report for the lighting and landscape maintenance district for fiscal year 26-27, and declaring the intention to levy assessments for the same district for fiscal year 26-27. The motion to adopt the consent calendar carried with four affirmative votes and one absent.
Police Department Promotions, Chief's Retirement, and Training Exercise Announced
The meeting included a badge pinning ceremony for police personnel, welcoming Officer Destiny Aoro and promoting Sergeant Ashley Williams to Lieutenant. Chief Randy Richardson also attended his final meeting before retirement, with farewells and acknowledgments of his service, including the creation of the K9 program and his role during challenging times. A wildland training exercise is scheduled for July 6th and 7th at Turlock Lake.
