Superintendent's Report Highlights Student Achievements and District Events

The Superintendent shared a report highlighting various student achievements and events within the district. This included successes in music concerts, the robotics team's participation in the FIRST Robotics Championship where they received the Engineering Inspiration Award and their mentor received the Woody Flowers Award, numerous honor society inductions across different schools, athletic achievements such as the girls' track and field team winning the Section One Class B championship and a record-breaking 33 student athletes committing to play college sports, and a meaningful character education assembly at Cottage Lane Elementary School honoring Memorial Day and Gold Star families through a partnership with Fedic. Additionally, the musical production 'Greece' received two Metropolitan High School Theater Awards nominations, and students from the computer science capstone class presented projects at Demo Day in New York City, with one team winning the Product Pivot Award.
