City of Oxford Launches Economic Activation Program with Grants and Loans
The City of Oxford has launched an Economic Activation Program aimed at improving and beautifying the community by addressing outstanding issues on properties and businesses. The program has four pillars: identify issues, inform property/business owners, provide incentives, and enforce non-compliance. An amnesty period for identified violations runs until August 31st, 2027. The program offers two main incentive categories: a facade and sustainability matching reimbursement grant (up to $5,000) and a demolition and site readiness matching reimbursement grant (up to $10,000). A new Improvement and Retention Revolving Loan Fund offers up to $10,000 at 1% interest for existing businesses to improve their operations. Applications for these incentives are administered by the Oxford CIC.
