Hillsborough Schools Approves New Principals, Cabinet Hires, and Enhances Employee Benefits and Field Trip Programs

The Hillsborough County School Board approved several administrative appointments and cabinet-level positions. These included eight principal appointments (six elementary, one middle, and one high school) and two new cabinet-level positions: Chief of Security and Emergency Management, and Chief Human Resources Officer. The board also approved a request for proposals for employee benefits and risk management consulting services, with Aon Consulting being the highest-ranked bidder. Additionally, agreements with Garner Health and for the 2027 health insurance plan design were discussed and voted upon, alongside a request for proposals for real estate services. A new field trip initiative for PreK-8 students utilizing millage referendum funds was also approved.
