City Council Approves FY27 Budget, ICIP, and CDBG Plan
The City Council adopted the Fiscal Year 2027 balanced budget and the Infrastructure Capital Improvement Plan (ICIP) for fiscal years 2027-2031. The FY27 budget includes a 5% salary increase for all employee groups, a 5% increase in medical premiums, and the addition of 22 new positions, including firefighters, police officers, and administrative staff. An amendment to the budget incorporates an additional $1.4 million for personnel at the police department due to negotiations with the Rio Rancho Police and Communications Association.
