Ripen City Council Approves Meadowwood Landscape Maintenance District

The Ripen City Council held a special session to adopt a resolution forming the Meadowwood Landscape Maintenance District. This district will cover landscaping, irrigation, and structures along Fulton Avenue and Goodwin Avenue for the Meadowwood subdivision, which includes 88 single-family homes. The assessment, estimated at $500-$550 per year per homeowner, passed with all 88 parcels owned by Lar Homes voting in favor. The council authorized staff to submit necessary documents to the county to establish the district and begin revenue collection for maintenance, which will be handled by the city's contractor. The council also discussed the annual review of assessment amounts and reserve funds for future maintenance and replacements.
