James Cox Appointed to Ward 2 City Council Seat
The city council interviewed three candidates for the vacant Ward 2 council seat: James Cox, Kadia L., and Andrew Shamp. After deliberation and a motion by Council Member Peterson, seconded by Council Member D. Young, James Cox was nominated and appointed to the Ward 2 council seat. Cox then took the oath of office and was sworn in, filling the vacancy until the November 2027 election certification. The council also agreed to interview all three candidates and allowed for follow-up questions.
