Planning Commission Recommends Approval for Lost Canyons Development Lot Relocation

The Planning Commission recommended approval to the City Council for a General Plan Amendment, Zone Change, Specific Plan Amendment, Plan Development Permit, and Tentative Map. This modification allows for the relocation of 178 approved single-family residential lots from the south side of Lost Canyons Drive to the north side, on the former golf course property. Two additional lots will be placed on the southern edge of the project site. The proposal also includes the removal of the commercial recreation land use designation associated with the golf course and reconfiguring open space and residential land uses. This change aims to create more open space and consolidate development into a more central area. The total approved unit count of 364 homes remains unchanged. A supplemental staff report with revised conditions was also considered.
