Somerset Energy Storage Project Delineation Review Continued
The Summit Conservation Committee is reviewing an abbreviated notice of resource area delineation for property at 1606 Riverside Ad, Sunset Mass, filed by John Corrick of Somerset Energy Storage, LLC. The purpose is to review and approve the delineated regulatory area boundaries on specific parcels. Due to receiving the information late on a Friday, the committee decided to continue the discussion to their next meeting on June 29th.
Conservation Committee Approves Demolition and Addition Applicability at 27 Riverside Ave
The Summit Conservation Committee heard a request for a determination of applicability for the demolition of an existing dwelling and the construction of a garage and house addition at 27 Riverside Ave, Somerset Mass. The property is within the 200-foot buffer zone of the Taunton River. This was treated as a new application, with a previous related application deemed 'dead.' The committee debated whether the demolition of the existing 1954-built house was adequately addressed in prior discussions. Ultimately, the committee voted for a negative determination of applicability, meaning the proposed work is not subject to the Wetlands Protection Act.
