Temporary Multicultural Festival Approved for Mid Rivers Mall
The commission approved a temporary use permit for 'One World Fest,' a two-day multicultural festival planned for August 22nd and 23rd at Mid Rivers Mall. The applicant addressed concerns about security by stating two police officers will be on-site each day. The festival is expected to attract 2,000 to 2,500 attendees and will utilize 5,000 square feet of space, with the remainder reserved for parking. The permit was approved with a contingency to obtain all required licenses and inspections for vendors.
Temporary Snow Cone Stand Approved at Mid Rivers Center
The commission approved a temporary use permit for a snow cone stand to operate outside India Bazaar at 190 Mid Rivers Center. The stand will operate Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. during the summer months. The permit was approved with several contingencies, including coordinating tent design and locations, obtaining necessary licenses and health department approvals, coordinating with India Bazaar for restroom and trash services, and noting the trash location. The commission extended the permit's end date to October 1st.
Idle Storage and Condominiums Site Plan Re-Approved in St. Peter's
The Planning and Zoning Commission considered a site plan re-approval for Idle Storage and Condominiums. The project, located on the east side of Kisker Road, south of Route 364, was initially approved in 2022 for storage and expanded in 2023 to include condominiums. The applicant requested re-approval as the previous approval was expiring. The plan includes climate-controlled storage and two condominium buildings with 32 units each, along with parking and stormwater management. The commission approved the site plan re-approval.
St. Peter's Planning Commission Approves Updated Land Use Master Plan

The Planning and Zoning Commission voted to postpone the public hearing and decision for SU 26-02, the Guerrilla Express Auto Wash, to the July meeting. The applicant had requested the postponement. The commission maintained an open public hearing and voted to continue it.
