The historic marker for Fountain Baptist Church is being relocated to in front of the police department parking lot, near the commercial buildings close to Broad Street. The marker was originally placed in the Chestnut Street parking lot for visibility but was removed when the lot closed in anticipation of its sale. The new location aims to recognize the church's original site, which was near the current police department parking lot.
