Valparaiso Plan Commission Addresses Subdivision, Rezoning, and Floodplain Ordinance Updates

The Planning Commission reviewed and voted on several zoning and subdivision proposals. This included the preliminary plat approval for Urshel Field (PP26-002), rezoning of a 4.8-acre parcel for Paradise Community Homes (RZ26-001), and a continuation of a case (PP26-003). A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to a public hearing and discussion on proposed revisions to the city's floodplain management ordinance (Z026-001), followed by a public hearing and extensive discussion on the annexation and rezoning of approximately 72 acres for a large residential development by Altoff Homes (A26-001). Finally, a public hearing was held for the rezoning of 6.51 acres for a Hyundai Automotive Dealership (RZ26-002).
