Waverly Utilities 2025 Audit Shows Increased Revenues and Expenses, Clean Opinion Issued
The council reviewed the 2025 audit for Waverly Utilities, presented by Killian Meyer, Director of Finance and Customer Services. Cash decreased by $626,000 due to debt service, capital purchases, and the city transfer. The rate stabilization fund increased by $850,000. GASB 103 was implemented, primarily affecting the reporting of the city transfer. There were no findings of material weaknesses in internal controls. Separate books are maintained for telecommunications and electric utilities, with no issues found in expense allocation. Council Approves Public Hearing for $80,000 Personal Property Lease Agreement
