East Wenatchee City Council Approves Public Safety Grant and Consent Agenda Items

The application for funds to host the tournament, which involves age brackets 9, 10, 11, and 12, will be discussed further at the next meeting. Additionally, a report was given on the Super Oval event, which was sold out, and a significant portion of attendees were from out of the area, indicating a positive economic impact on local hotels. The event also raised $8,000 for the Eastmont Elves through a 50-50 raffle, where the winner returned some of the winnings.

City Hall will be closed on June 19th for Juneteenth. Link is hosting an open house on June 25th from 5-7 PM at the bus barn to celebrate CEO Nick Covey stepping down and Don Billen taking over.

A workshop for council members is scheduled for June 17th, with Councilmember Stimmel being the only one unavailable.
