Pickerington School District Board Discusses Budget Deficit and Cost-Cutting Measures

The Pickerington Local School District Board of Education held a work session to discuss financial updates, specifically focusing on the impact of the May 5th levy failure. The deficit for fiscal year 2029 has grown to $19 million, up from a previous projection of $14 million, largely due to a projected labor agreement. The board is considering a plan to reduce this deficit to zero.
